A biblical prophecy
About the Messiah
His portrait
leaves no doubts
A tender shoot
Without stately form
Nor majesty
Nothing to look upon
Nothing to be attrackted to
Despised, forsaken
A man of sorrows
Acquainted with grief
He bears ours
Dwelling sheep
We turned to our own ways
Smitten, afflicted
Pierced for our transgressions
Crushed for our iniquities
Our chastening fell upon Him
Our iniquity fell on Him
And in doing so He justified many
Who believes the message
Of the suffering servant?
A lamb led to slaughter
Silent sheep before its shearers
He was taken away
Oppressed and judged
He was taken out of the land of the living
His grave assigned with wicked men
And yet by His scourging we are healed
In Him there is no violence
Nor any deceit in His mouth
He rendered Himself
As a guilt offering
He Himself
bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors
By His knowledge
the Righteous One
will justify many
“He will see His offspring,
He will prolong His days,
The pleasure of the Lord prospers in His hand.”
And He will divide the booty with the strong
