True Fasting
The fasting
that pleases The Lord
Cry aloud
Lift up your voice
Denounce evil!
Seek the Lord
in daily prayers
Delight in righteousness
Do not forsake
The judgement of Most High
Do not seek your own pleasure
Do not oppress your workers
Do not quarrel, nor fight
Do not hit with wicked fist
Loose the bonds of wickedness
Undo the straps of yoke
Deliver the oppressed
Break the gossip and ill doing
Share your bread with the hungry
Bring the homeless home
Cover the naked
Do not hide from your own flesh
Rebuild the ancient ruins
Raise up foundations of generations
Repair the breach
Restore the streets
Call My day a delight
And honour my ways
And your light
Breaks forth like dawn
Rising in the darkness
You shall be
A watered garden
A spring of waters
Righteousness walks before you
And the Lord behind you
When you cry out
The Lord will answer
“Here I am ”
Being your delight
And making you ride
On the heights of earth
On the height of heavens…
